Me Card notes

By far the most common concern concerns the CITY_ST table. The table provides mnemonics for place names, but unfortunately the manufacturer has stored these codes in the patron's record. The problem is that all Horizon users use different codes, and if the code doesn't exist, the customer's account will not be loaded.

The way the Me Card gets around this is by having all the sanctioned place names in Alberta ready at hand. When the application loads it reads the master table of place names. Then it reads the bimport.properties file and overlays the values it finds there with the preferred codes from the CITY_ST.
